Nano Banana responds to prompts written like a photographer’s brief, not a keyword list. Every reliable architecture prompt in this guide follows the same order:
[Shot type] + [building type] + [structure and massing] + [two or three named materials] + [site and context] + [light and time of day] + "photorealistic architectural photography"
Two details carry most of the quality. First, materials with adjectives: "concrete house" produces a grey box, while "board-formed concrete with a cantilevered charred-timber volume" produces something you can put in front of a client. Second, light: name the hour (dusk, golden hour, overcast morning) and where the light comes from (interior glow, raking sun, skylight). Close with "photorealistic architectural photography" rather than "render", which pushes the model toward camera realism instead of CGI gloss.
A third lever when you want a coherent language fast: reference a real architect. "In the spirit of Tadao Ando" or "Kengo Kuma-style layered timber" pulls materials, proportions and mood into alignment in one phrase. Use it for direction, not imitation, and drop it once your own material palette is doing the work.
Unlike Midjourney there are no --ar or --style parameters. Format is controlled with words: open the prompt with "wide-angle photograph", "straight-on elevation photograph", "aerial drone photograph" or "tall vertical composition" and Nano Banana obeys.
